This supplement contains the German translation of Technical Report CISPR/TR 30-2 from 2012; it contains information concerning the assessment of the radio disturbance characteristics of electronic control gears that are intended as components to be installed in discharge lamps. In accordance with the International Standard CISPR 15 which has been adopted as EN 55015 or DIN EN 55015 (VDE 5875-15-1), no individual specifications apply for components for radio interference suppression , that is, the components do not have to be specifically measured according to this standard. When measuring the finished luminaire which is intended for placement on the market, potential influences of internal components on the radio disturbance characteristic of the luminaire are taken into account. Since the radio disturbance characteristics of a given discharge lamp can be predicted from the results of measurements on other lamps equipped with the same electronic controls and lamps, the idea was developed to describe a representative test lamp with which an electric control can be measured in order to reduce the measurement effort. If this test lamp then meets the applicable requirements of CISPR 15, EN 55015 or DIN EN 55015 (VDE 5875-15-1), it can be assumed that also other luminaires into which the corresponding electronic control is installed meet these requirements and unnecessary measurements can be prevented. This supplement now describes a corresponding method for assessment of the radio disturbance characteristics of electronic controls of protection classes I and II intended for operation of one or more discharge lamp(s) and defines a test lamp to be used for this purpose. Furthermore, it provides information for the measurement setup including the ground connection and wiring and a proposal for labelling of the controls. Finally, a guideline for installation of the controls is presented which shall help to prevent radio interference problems.
