Overview

This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-07-63 AA "Radionuklidlaboratorien" ("Radionuclide laboratories") at the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) at DIN e. V. Handling openly radioactive substances can take place either in small laboratories with low handling activity or in buildings with several laboratories and a high radioactivity inventory. For this reason general information and suggestions for the drafting of a radiation protection directive are to be provided in the form of a reminder list. Furthermore, radiation protection directives form the basis for the regular instruction of otherwise engaged persons by radiation protection experts. This document gives guidance notes for the preparation of a radiation protection directive in accordance with DIN 25425-4, especially Annex D.
