DIN 19051-3 Beiblatt 1:2013-03

DIN 19051-3 specifies a test array (test table) for testing original negatives when microfilming technical drawings in accordance with DIN 19052-2 and DIN 19052-3. An image of the test array (test table) shall be taken in incident light at the beginning and end of a microfilm roll or a series of images. Supplement 1 to DIN 19051-3 describes 2 by 2 neutral density tables with the external dimensions 120 mm×120 mm the neutral density card A having a reflectance factor of R₄₅₇ = (50 ± 3) % and natural density card B having a reflectance factor of R₄₅₇ = (6 ± 0,8) %. Two natural density tables each serve together with the test chart's test fields (DIN 19051-2 Supplement 1) for set-up of a test table for testing the original negatives when microfilming technical drawings in accordance with DIN 19051-3. The document has been prepared by Working Group NA 009-00-14-01 AK "NABD/NVBF Arbeitskreis DIN 19051" ("NABD/NVBF Working group DIN 19051") which includes experts of Working Committee NA 009-00-14 AA "Bestandserhaltung in Archiven und Bibliotheken" ("Preservation for archives and libraries") and Working Committee NA 149-00-01 AA "Fotografische Medien" ("Photographic media").
