This standard applies in connection with generic specification VG 96932-2 for rechargeable lithium batteries, 3,2 V 120 Ah, for underwater applications, such as torpedo applications, used in the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces). The standard contains the technical requirements such as dimensions, materials, leakproofness, discharge current profiles, charging methods, information on type testing, quality assurance and storage life as well as marking and packaging. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 140-00-03 AA "Batterien" ("Batteries") of the DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE).
