VG 96915-2:2017-10

This generic standard applies for all types of non-rechargeable batteries, following called batteries, for the Bundeswehr, with the exception of activation batteries. The standard is recognized by defense organizations of other nations. The respective details standards (VG 96915-3 and subsequent parts) include a variety of battery designs for which the essential requirements are specified in this generic standard. This standard contains information on technical requirements and test conditions of a consistent nature, namely properties and provisions that apply to batteries in the VG 96915 series of standards, as well as general implementing provisions, questions of liability, patent law and others. The special technical requirements and the tests for the corresponding battery type are specified in the respective detail standard.
