This standard is a detail specification for single core insulated wires. The committee responsible for the standard is NA 140-00-05 AA "Elektrische Kabel und Leitungen" ("Electrical cables and wires") of the Electrical Engineering Standards Committee (NE) at DIN. This standard applies in connection with VG 95218-2 for single-core insulated wires. Wires in compliance with this standard are subject to qualification approval according to VG 95211.
