Overview

This standard defines the hose-side nipples and clamp units of the hose fittings used for hoses according to VG 85605-4 which are not defined in VG 85328-2, DIN EN 14420-2 or DIN EN 14420-3. Furthermore profiled hose nipples are specified according to the required surface roughness. In this standard the dimensions of the fittings, hose nipples and clapping jaw shells are listed in figures with tables. Precise manufacturing specifications are given for the materials used for the hose nipples and clapping jaw shells. Quality assurance and tests provide specifications for quality assurance requirements. The quality assurance measures listed shall be documented. Marking of the hose nipples and clapping jaw shells for use shall be mandatory. The material designations for other DIN and DIN-EN standards have been listed in Annex A (informative). This standard has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology, NA 132-02-07 AA "Betankungs- und Pipelineschläuche" ("Tubes for refuelling and pipelines").
