Overview

This standard applies to simple eccentrically mounted, soft-sealing butterfly valves with a continuous butterfly valve stem which are used on watercrafts. Type A valves are intended for installation in pipe assemblies and Type B valves are intended for outboard fittings. These valves are preferably used in piping for seawater, fuel F-75, F-44 aircraft fuel, lubricating oil, hot water and cool fresh water with and without additives at operating temperatures up to 120 °C.
