DIN VDE 0626-2:2014-04

This standard specifies requirements and tests for two-pole multi distribution sets for a.c. (MDAC) with or without earthing contact. MDAC are fitted with more than one connector according to DIN EN 60320-2-2 (VDE 0625-2-2) and a non-rewirable cord set or an appliance inlet according to DIN EN 60320-1 (VDE 0625-1) or rewirable without cord set. Design values: AC 250 V, 16 A, 50/60 Hz maximum. MDAC according to this standard are suitable for use at ambient air temperatures which normally do not exceed 25 °C but can occasionally reach 35 °C. MDAC conforming to this standard are not protected against the ingress of water (IPX0 according to DIN EN 60529 (VDE 0470-1)). The responsible committee is DKE/UK 542.3 "Gerätesteckvorrichtungen" ("Appliance couplers") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
