The responsible committee is UK 542.1 "Schalter und Steckvorrichtungen für den Hausgebrauch und andere Zwecke" ("Plugs, socket outlets and switches for household and similar installations") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
