Overview

This standard transfers the safety-related electrical installation requirements from EN 15869-2 "Inland navigation vessels - Electrical shore connection, three-phase current 400 V, up to 63 A, 50 Hz - Part 2: Onshore unit, additional requirements" to the DIN VDE 0100 (VDE 0100) series of standards. The particular requirements specified in this part of DIN VDE 0100 (VDE 0100) apply to onshore installations dedicated to supply inland navigation vessels for commercial and administrative purpose, berthed in ports and berths. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 221.1 "Schutz gegen elektrischen Schlag" ("Protection against electric shock") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Informational Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
