This part of International Standard ISO 96-1 specifies the principal dimensions of T- and SF-rings, and the mass and tolerance on the mass, of the appropriate travellers for flange rings employed on ring spinning and ring twisting machines. It also specifies the method of designation of the travellers. This standard differs from DIN ISO 96-1:2010-07 as follows: a) in Figure 1, height h1 does not extend up to the foot, but to the bar; b) in Figure 2, height h2 does not extend up to the foot, but to the bar; c) in Table 1, the tolerance for the flange width b1 has been adapted to reality; d) in Table 1, the height of 8 mm for h1 and h2 has been included; e) in Figure 3, the flange width b1 has been removed and adapted to Figure 4; f) Clause 6 has been editorially revised. The responsible German committee for this standard is Working Committee NA 106-02-10 AA "Spulerei, Spinnereimaschinen und Nonwoven" ("Spinning and winding machinery and nonwoven") at DIN Standards Committee Textiles and Textile Machinery (Textilnorm).
This document replaces DIN ISO 96-1:2010-07 .
