DIN ISO 5429:2013-12

The International Standard ISO 5429:2012 "Coated abrasives - Flap wheels with incorporated flanges or separate flanges" has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 29 "Small tools", Subcommittee SC 5 "Grinding wheels and abrasives" with the participation of German experts of NA 121-04-03 AA "Schleifmittel auf Unterlagen" ("Coated abrasives"). This International Standard specifies the nominal dimensions and limit deviations of flap wheels with incorporated flanges and separate flanges for use on stationary grinding machines. The standardized diameters of the flap wheels range from 100 mm up to 500 mm, the assigned widths range from 25 mm up to 100 mm. In addition to dimensional requirements, this standard includes specifications for the standard designation of products and requirements for their marking. The revision of the previous edition of the standard has become necessary to include additional width values of the flap wheels.
