DIN ISO 24393:2017-03

This document (ISO 24393:2008) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 4/SC 11 "Linear motion rolling bearings", the secretariat of which is held by ANSI (USA). The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 118-01-11 AA "Linear-Wälzlager einschließlich Teile und Zubehör" ("Linear motion rolling bearings including parts and supplies ") at DIN Standards Committee Rolling Bearings and Plain Bearings (NAWGL). ISO 5593 contains only three terms in the area of linear motion rolling bearings. In recent years, however, a variety of other types of linear motion rolling bearings and linear guidance systems have been developed and manufactured by various manufacturers. Therefore, this International Standard has been developed to unify and clarify the designation of linear motion rolling bearings, linear guidance systems, subassemblies, components and accessories. This International Standard defines terms in the field of linear guidance systems, linear motion rolling bearings, subassemblies, components and accessories.
