This European Standard defines relevant requirements set out in Annex I of EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, relating to machines which were placed on the European Economic Area (EEA) for the first time, with the intent of simplifying the means of proving conformity with these requirements. This part of ISO 22915 specifies tests for verifying the stability of pedestrian-propelled trucks. It is applicable to - straddle, pallet and platform stacker trucks with capacities not exceeding 1 000 kg, with manual or battery-powered lift; - scissors lift pallet trucks with lift heights up to 1 000 mm and rated capacity up to 1 000 kg, with manual or battery-powered lift; - platform trucks. It also applies to trucks operating under the same conditions when equipped with load-handling attachments. It is not applicable to trucks with retractable devices such as a mast or fork. This standard contains the German version of EN ISO 22915-16:2014, which has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 110/SC 2 "Safety of powered industrial trucks". The national interests during the preparation were represented by Committee NA 060-22-42 AA "Sicherheit von Flurförderzeugen" ("Safety for industrial trucks") in Technical Section "Fördertechnik" ("Conveying technology") of DIN Standards Committee Mechanical Engineering (NAM). Representatives of the manufacturers and users of industrial trucks, and of the employers' liability insurance associations were involved in the preparation. This standard contains the German version of ISO 22915-16:2014 prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 110/SC 2 "Safety of powered industrial trucks" of the International Committee for Standardization (ISO).
