Overview

This standard is identical to ISO 5178:2001. It specifies the sizes of test specimens and the test procedures for carrying out longitudinal tensile tests on cylindrical test specimens in order to determine the mechanical properties of weld metal in a fusion welded joint. The test report which has also been specified serves for test documentation. The content has not been modified with respect to DIN EN 876:1995-10. The responsible German Joint Working Committee is NA 092-00-05 GA "NAS/NMP: Zerstörende Prüfung von Schweißverbindungen (DVS AG Q 4)" ("NAS/NMP: Destructive tests of welds (DVS AG Q 4)").
