Overview

This document establishes sampling plans and procedures for inspection by attributes of electrodeposited metallic coatings. It may be applied to related finishes by agreement between the supplier and the purchaser. It is based on IS0 2859 (see also Addendum 1 to ISO 2859). The text of ISO 4519:1980 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 107 "Metallic and other inorganic coatings" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and adopted as EN ISO 4519:2016 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 262 "Metallic and other inorganic coatings", the secretariat of which is held by BSI (United Kingdom). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 062-01-61 AA "Mess- und Prüfverfahren für metallische und andere anorganische Überzüge" ("Measuring and test methods for metallic and other inorganic coatings") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
