This document (EN ISO 22854:2016) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 28 "Petroleum products and related products of synthetic or biological origin" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 19 "Gaseous and liquid fuels, lubricants and related products of petroleum, synthetic and biological origin" the secretariat of which is held by NEN (the Netherlands). The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 062-06-14 AA "Chromatographische Analyse" ("Chromatographic analysis") of the section "Mineralöl- und Brennstoffnormung (FAM, "Standardization of Petroleum, Fuels, Lubricants and Related Products) of DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP). This International Standard specifies the gas chromatographic (GC) method for the determination of saturated, olefinic and aromatic hydrocarbons in automotive motor gasoline and ethanol (E85) automotive fuel. Additionally, the benzene content, oxygenate compounds and the total oxygen content can be determined. This International Standard defines two procedures, A and B.
