This document (EN ISO 20484:2017) defines the terms used in leak testing. This includes terms relating to gases, test methods and the performance of procedures. It has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 138 "Non-destructive testing", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France), in collaboration with Technical Committee ISO/TC 135/SC 6 "Leak detection methods". The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 062-08-26 AA "Dichtheitsprüfung" ("Leak detection methods") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
