This part of ISO 1938-2 specifies the most important metrological and design characteristics of reference disk gauges. This part of ISO 1938-2 covers linear sizes of the gauge up to 500 mm. This document is a Geometrical Product Specification (GPS) standard and is to be regarded as a general GPS standard (see ISO/TR 14638). It influences links 4, 5 and 6 of the size chain of standards in the general GPS matrix. The ISO/GPS Matrix model given in ISO 14638 gives an overview of the ISO/GPS system of which this document is a part. The fundamental rules of ISO/GPS given in ISO 8015 apply to this document. The default decision rules given in ISO 14253-1 apply to specifications made in accordance with this document, unless otherwise indicated. This document (prEN ISO 1938-2:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 213 "Dimensional and geometrical product specifications and verification" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 290 "Dimensional and geometrical product specification and verification", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The German committee responsible for this document is NA 152-03-02-07 UA "Längenprüftechnik außer Koordinaten-, Form- und Oberflächenmesstechnik sowie Gewindekenngrößen" ("Length checking practice except coordinate, form and surface measuring technology as well as characteristics of screw threads") at DIN Standards Committee Technical Fundamentals (NATG).
This document replaces DIN 7150-2 Berichtigung 1:2007-08 , DIN 7150-2:2007-02 .
