DIN EN ISO 15614-8:2016-11

This standard specifies how a welding procedure test is carried out for arc welding of metallic materials for joining tubes in tube sheets by means of manual, mechanical, semi-automatic and automatic methods. It is part of a series of standards of ISO 15607. Details of this standard are given in Annex B. The qualification of tests for the joining of tubes in tube sheets may be issued according to the application standard for those to be fully loaded or only tightly welded. This standard differs from DIN EN ISO 15614-8:2002-06 as follows: a) Clause "Normative references" has been updated; b) Table 1 (Examination and testing of the test pieces) had been included; c) Subclause 8.3 "Substitute test" has been added; d) in Table 4 (new Table 5) the scope for geometric details has been revised. The standard has been prepared by ISO/TC 44/SC 10 "Quality management in the field of welding" and has been identically adopted as a European standard. The responsible German standardization committee is DIN/DVS Joint Committee NA 092-00-04 AA "Qualitätssicherung beim Schweißen (DVS AG Q 2)"("Quality assurance of welding (DVS AG Q 2)") at NAS.
