Overview

This part of ISO 15027 specifies the test methods for constant wear suits, including helicopter transit suits, and abandonment suits. Requirements for constant wear suits are given in ISO 15027-1:2012 and requirements for abandonment suits are given in ISO 15027-2:2012. This document supersedes DIN EN ISO 15027-3:2002-06. This standard differs from DIN EN ISO 15027-3:2002-06 as follows: a) it has been clarified that the test subjects are human test subjects; b) two sites for skin temperature measurement have been added; c) the field of vision test has been revised; d) 3.10 and 3.11 have been combined in one clause and subsequent clauses have been renumbered; e) the mean body temperature has been deleted; f) it has been clarified that underclothing is to be specified by the manufacturer; g) requirements regarding the testing of a Class D suit have been revised. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 112-04-04 AA "Wasserrettungs- und Sicherheitsmittel" ("Lifesaving in water and safety equipment") at DIN.
