DIN EN ISO 11833-1:2012-11

DIN EN ISO 11833-1 specifies the requirements for flat extruded sheets and pressed sheets of unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) and the test methods to be used to measure the required values. It applies only to sheets of thickness of no less than 1,0 mm. It does not cover biaxially stretched PVC-U sheets. This edition of DIN EN ISO 11833-1, together with DIN EN ISO 11833-2:2006-06, cancels and replaces DIN EN ISO 11833-1:2008-01 and DIN 16959:1973-09. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN EN ISO 11833-1:2008-01 and DIN 16959:1973-09: a) normative references have been updated; b) the note in clause 3 "Material" has been deleted; c) in Table 5 "Basic properties of sheets", the total luminous transmittance has been classified into "Class A: General purpose" and "Class B: High transparency" (applicable to group 2 only); d) clause 7 "Marking" has been revised; e) the figures have been revised and aligned; f) the standard has been editorially revised. This document has been prepared by CEN/TC 249 "Plastics" (secretariat: NBN, Belgium) in collaboration with ISO/TC 61 "Plastics" (secretariat: SAC, China).
