This part of ISO 11403 specifies test procedures for the acquisition and presentation of multipoint data which demonstrate the behaviour of plastics under the following environments: - prolonged exposure to heat; - liquid media; - environmental stress cracking under a constant tensile stress; - artificial weathering. The tests are listed in order of increasing severity of the environment. Initial testing under less severe environmental conditions enables informed judgements as to whether tests under more severe conditions are worthwhile. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN EN ISO 11403-3:2002-02: normative references are now undated, specifications of Subclause 6.8 "Artificial weathering: ISO 4892-2 (see Clause A.2)" have been partly incorporated in Subclauses 6.9 "Set of exposure conditions 1: Open air", 6.10 "Set of exposure conditions 2: Behind glass, low temperature" and 6.11 "Set of exposure conditions 3: Behind glass, high temperature", and (normative) Annex ZA has been deleted. The standard has been editorially revised. This document (FprEN ISO 11403-3:2013) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 61 "Plastics" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 "Plastics" the secretariat of which is held by NBN (Belgium). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 054-01-02 AA "Mechanische Eigenschaften und Probekörperherstellung" ("Mechanical properties and preparation of test specimen") of the Plastics Standards Committee (FNK) at DIN.
