DIN EN ISO 11357-5 describes a method for the determination of reaction temperatures and times, enthalpies of reaction, and degrees of conversion using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The method applies to monomers, prepolymers, and polymers in the solid or liquid state. The material can contain fillers and/or initiators in the solid or liquid state. The text of ISO 11357-5:2013 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC "Plastics" (secretariat: SAC, China) of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been adopted as EN 11357-5:2014 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 "Plastics", the secretariat of which is held by NBN. The responsible German body involved in its preparation is Working Committee NA 054-01-03 AA "Physikalische, rheologische und analytische Prüfungen" ("Physical, Rheological and Analytical Tests") at the Plastics Standards Committee (FNK).
