Overview

This standard, as part of the standard series DIN EN ISO 11298, specifies the general requirements for any methods used in connection with plastic piping systems for the renovation of underground water supply networks, which transport water intended for human consumption, including raw water intake pipelines. The standard is applicable to pipes and fittings, as manufactured, as well as to the installed lining system. No requirements are given for cover sprayed coatings, the existing pipeline or any annular filler. The preparatory work was carried out by Working Group ISO/TC 138/WG 12 "Rehabilitation of pipeline systems". The responsible German committee is NA 119-04-03 AA "Rohrleitungsbau" ("Pipework") at DIN.
