DIN EN IEC 60601-2-46:2020-04

This special standard specifies safety requirements for operating tables, whether or not having electrical parts, including transporters, used for the transportation of the table top to or from the base or pedestal of an operating table with detachable table top. It does not apply to dental patient chairs, examination chairs and couches, patient-supporting systems of diagnostic and therapeutic devices, operating table heating blankets, patient transfer equipment, delivery tables and beds, medical beds, field tables. The principal change consists in the technical adaptation with regard to DIN EN 60601-1:2006 + A1:2013 including the associated supplementary standards, the adaptation of the measurement taking into account electromagnetic phenomena according to IEC 60601-1-2:2014. The responsible committee is Subcommittee DKE/UK 812.9 "Patientenlagerungseinrichtungen" ("Patient positioning devices") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
