Industrial wireless communication devices such as pressure transmitters or positioners mainly use energy sources without copper cables. These devices use energy modules as energy sources, which may include batteries. This part 2 of DIN EN 62952 deals with energy modules based on batteries. It provides a profile of DIN EN 62952-1 and a specific selection of batteries described in other standards. The responsible committee is DKE/K 956 "Feldbus" ("Fieldbus") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
