The standard DIN EN 62625-1 (VDE 0115-625-1) deals with the specification of on-board systems for recording train operation data. This includes the recording of driving data on the behavior of the vehicle driver and the on-board systems. Recording is carried out to prevent incidents and accidents as a means of systematic safety monitoring. The data is recorded in such a way that it is possible to determine the cause and, if possible, the effects. The global recording system specified in the standard is applicable to all types of rail vehicles. Any additional requirements for the management and secure storage of data are not covered by this standard. A value in Subclause 4.3.1.8.2 has been corrected in this Corrigendum. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 351.1 "Fahrzeuge" ("Rolling stock") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
