DIN EN 62542:2017-10

This International Standard specifies terms and definitions that are related to environmental standardization within IEC. It uses and harmonizes definitions already published in other similar documents. Thus it serves as a glossary of terminology to be considered for environmental aspects of relevant work in IEC. Consequently, the terminology defined in this standard should be taken into account in any IEC standard that is new or under revision relating to environmental aspects and/or impacts, even if this standard is not a dedicated environmental standard. The responsible committee is DKE/K 191 "Umweltschutz und Nachhaltigkeit bei Produkten in der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik, Informationstechnik" ("Environmental protection and sustainability for products in electrotechnics, electronics, information technology") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
