Overview

The standard specifies a protocol and test procedures for the control by digital signals of electronic control gear that can change their light colour. DIN EN 62386-209 (VDE 0712-0-209) is intended to be used in conjunction with DIN EN 62386-101 (VDE 0712-0-101):2010-04 and DIN EN 62386-102 (VDE 0712-0-102):2010-04, which contain general requirements for the relevant product type (control gear or control devices). The responsible committee is UK 521.3 "Geräte für Lampen" ("Auxiliaries for lamps") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
