Electromagnetic interference between electronic devices and radiation emission from electronic devices are caused in part by RF current generated by devices in operation and operating at high frequencies. The magnitude of the electromagnetic interference and emission is proportional to the RF current and is significantly affected by the printed circuit board structure, the antenna radiation effectiveness, and the noise transfer factor between devices and antennas. This standard specifies the methods for measuring the electromagnetic characteristics of a noise suppression sheet. The principal difference compared to the previous edition is the inclusion of a measurement procedure for the line decoupling ratio. The responsible committee is DKE/K 625 "Magnetische Bauelemente und deren Komponenten" ("Magnetic components and their parts") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
