DIN EN 62068:2014-03

This International Standard is a basic standard that applies to electrical equipment, regardless of voltage, containing an insulation system, which is: - connected to an electronic power supply, and - requires an evaluation of insulation endurance under repetitive voltage impulses. This standard proposes a general test procedure to facilitate screening of electrical insulating materials (EIM) and systems (EIS) and to achieve a relative evaluation of insulation endurance under conditions of repetitive impulses. In view of the fact that IEC 62068-2 was withdrawn in 2005, IEC/TC 112 has decided to publish the present current revision of IEC 62068-1 under the new number IEC 62068. The responsible committee is DKE/K 183 "Bewertung und Qualifizierung von elektrischen Isolierstoffen und Isoliersystemen" ("Evaluation and qualification of electrical insulating materials and systems") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
