The standards of the IEC 62037 series describe the measurement of the passive intermodulation level. This part defines test fixtures and procedures recommended for measuring levels of passive intermodulation generated by antennas, typically used in wireless communication systems. The purpose of the standard is to define qualification and acceptance test methods for antennas for use in low intermodulation (low IM) applications. The responsible committee is DKE/K 412 "Kommunikationskabel (Kabel, Leitungen, Wellenleiter, Lichtwellenleiter, Komponenten, Zubehör und Anlagentechnik für die Nachrichten- und Informationsübertragung)" ("Communication cables (Cables, wires, waveguides, fibre optics, components, equipment and installation technology for the transmission of news and information)") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
