This part of IEC 61730 describes the testing requirements for photovoltaic (PV) modules in order to ensure safe electrical and mechanical operation during their expected lifetime. This Amendment to IEC 61730-2 concerns some editorial corrections, missing references and other omissions which occurred in the first edition of this standard. It contains clarifications and special information on the following areas: - deletion of the annual details for the cited documents; - update of changed standard titles; - clarifications of the terminology and other terms. The responsible committee is DKE/K 373 "Photovoltaische Solarenergie-Systeme" ("Solar photovoltaic energy systems") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
