MMCX (Micro Miniature Coax) connectors are very compact coaxial connectors that are particularly suitable for applications where space is limited. They have a characteristic impedance of 50 ohms and are commonly used in telecommunications, GPS and PCMCIA cards up to an operating frequency of 6 GHz. This standard specifies dimensions, requirements and tests. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 412.4 "Passive HF- und Mikrowellenbauelemente" ("RF and microwave passive components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
