This standard specifies dimensions, requirements and tests for CQN series RF coaxial connectors with threaded coupling. These connectors have a characteristic impedance of 50 Ohms and an operating frequency limit up to 11 GHz. They are used in microwave, telecommunication, and wireless basis stations, connecting with RF cables or micro-strips. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 412.4 "Passive HF- und Mikrowellenbauelemente" ("RF connectors and microwave passive components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
