Overview

This standard establishes uniform specifications and technical information and serves as the basis for preparation of consistent detail product specifications for circular connectors. It also contains tests and test schedules for the various test groups, such as electrical, mechanical, climatic and life. Quality assessment requirements are now dealt with in DIN EN 62197-1 "Connectors for electronic equipment - Quality assessment requirements - Part 1: Generic specification". The responsible committee is K 651 "Steckverbinder" ("Connector") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.

Replacement amendments

This document replaces DIN EN 61076-2:1999-09 .
