Overview

This part of IEC 61058 applies to mechanical switching devices and shall be used in conjunction with the requirements of IEC 61058-1. The current version of the standard contains amendments and additions to the general requirements (Chapter 17 ff.). The responsible committee is DKE/UK 542.2 "Geräteschalter" ("Switches for appliances") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
