DIN EN 61000-4-18/A1:2011-04

This Amendment contains the German version of the European Standard EN 61000-4-18:2007/A1:2010 and is identical to Amendment 1:2010 of the International Standard IEC 61000-4-18:2006. The standard, which is hereby amended, describes the immunity test of electric and electronic equipment (devices) with respect to damped oscillatory waves. The damped oscillatory waves considered may be produced by switching operations in high-voltage and medium voltage electrical installations or as the result of a nuclear electromagnetic pulse (NEMP) produced at great height. With respect to this standard, amendments are made in 6.1.4 regarding verification of properties and performance characteristics of the test generator, in 6.2 regarding the specifications for the coupling/decoupling network and in clause 8 regarding the test method (clarification of the wording "ring waves", changed into "damped oscillatory waves"). The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 767.3 "Hochfrequente Störgrößen" ("High frequency disturbances") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
