This standard contains the German version of the second edition of the European standard EN 61000-4-10 (2017 edition) and is identical to the second edition of the International Standard IEC 61000-4-10 (2016 edition). It describes the immunity test of electrical and electronic devices (equipment) against damped oscillatory magnetic fields, as they are generated by switching busbars in medium and high-voltage systems using isolators or disconnectors. In addition to the necessary definitions, the recommended test levels, the test equipment, the test setup and the test procedure are specified, and requirements for the test report and for the evaluation of the test results are provided. The damped oscillatory magnetic fields used for testing are generated by induction coils whose properties are specified in the standard. The coils are fed by a damped oscillating wave generator, which is a modified version of the generator specified in IEC 61000-4-18. Compared to the existing edition of the standard, the specifications for the calibration of the induction coil contained in the Annex A have been transferred to the main part. Furthermore, specifications for large test specimens that do not fit into the standardized induction coils have been added. In addition, new Annexes A, D and E have been added. These annexes contain information on - field distribution in standardized induction coils - measurement uncertainty - numerical simulation of the induction coils' field. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 767.3 "Hochfrequente Störgrößen" ("High frequency disturbances") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
This document replaces DIN EN 61000-4-10:2001-12; VDE 0847-4-10:2001-12 .
