Overview

This standard is part of the series DIN EN 60974 (VDE 0544) on various arc welding equipment. Part 13 describes tests and requirements for welding clamps. The tests illustrate the operations usually found in practice. Electrical, mechanical and thermal tests as well as the respective requirements necessary for safe operation are described. The responsible committee is K 361 "Lichtbogenschweißeinrichtungen (Schmelzschweißen)" ("Electric arc welding equipment (Fusion welding)") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
