DIN EN 60974-10:2016-10

This standard applies to equipment for arc welding and allied processes, including welding power sources and ancillary equipment, for example, wire feeders, liquid cooling systems, and arc ignition and stabilization equipment. In doing so, this part of IEC series 60974 specifies the test methods for electromagnetic interference emissions in the RF range, the test methods for harmonic currents, voltage fluctuations and flicker. It additionally specifies immunity requirements and test methods for continuous and transient, conducted and radiated disturbances, including electrostatic discharges. Tests shall be performed on fully assembled equipment representative of series production. Tests shall be performed as specified in IEC 60974-1 or IEC 60974-6 within the operating conditions specified for the equipment and at the rated value of line voltage and line frequency. The responsible committee is DKE/K 361 "Lichtbogenschweißeinrichtungen (Schmelzschweißen)" ("Arc welding equipment") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
