Overview
This standard applies to the terminology of tools, devices, equipment and methods for working on live parts . It specifies the names of tools, devices and equipment and permits their identification by providing definitions and illustrations. This standard supplements IEC 60050-651. Compared with DIN EN 60743:2009-02, Clause 2 refers directly to IEC 60050-651 and some definitions have been moved to better describe existing clauses. The responsible body is DKE/K 214 "Ausrüstungen und Geräte zum Arbeiten unter Spannung" ("Equipment and tools for live working") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
