This part of IEC 60695 contains guidance for the factors concerning the hazards caused by toxicants in cases of fire with the participation of electrotechnical products, and provides information on the methodologies which are recommended by ISO/TC 92 (SC 3) for assessment and reduction of the hazard caused by toxicants in cases of fire and which are described in ISO 19706, ISO 13344 and ISO 13571. The responsible Committee is K 133 "Prüfverfahren zur Beurteilung der Brandgefahr von elektrotechnischen Produkten und Isolierstoffen" ("Test methods for assessing the fire hazard of electrotechnical products and insulating materials") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
