DIN EN 60626-3:2013-03

This part of IEC 60626 specifies dimensional and performance requirements for individual combined flexible materials for electrical insulation. The standard is divided in design types with specification sheets. These sheets are numbered in accordance with Table 1, which provides a complete list of all the specification sheets belonging to this standard. Materials which conform to this specification meet established levels of performance. However, the selection of material by a user for a specific application should be based on the actual requirements necessary for adequate performance in that application and not based on this specification alone. This consolidated version of the International Standard IEC 60626-3 consists of the third edition of 2008 and Amendment 1 of 2012. The modifications of Amendment 1 have been incorporated and marked in the text with a vertical line on the left side of the page. This standard contains the following 32 sheets which belong to the IEC 60626 standard series: 100, 101, 102, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114,115, 302, 303, 312, 313, 314, 315, 320, 330, 340, 350, 351, 352, 360, 400, 401, 402, 403, 410, 411, 420, 421, 502, 503 and Sheet 505. The tables of some specification sheets with requirements for flexible duplex materials and requirements for flexible triplex materials have been revised and updated and a new sheet with requirements for flexible triplex materials of hybrid paper on both sides of PET film has been incorporated. The polyethylene terephthalate film or PET film is also designated analogously with the original text of the IEC publication with the short designation "F-PET". In order to meet the general requirements according to IEC 60626-1 every combined flexible material shall additionally meet the requirements given in the responding sheet of Part 3 of this standard for its type. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure the methods given or referred to in this document that these methods have been used in a safe manner.
