DIN EN 60603-7:2012-08

IEC 60603-7 covers 8-way unshielded free and fixed connectors and specifies the common dimensions, mechanical, electrical and environmental characteristics and tests for the connectors. The connectors specified in the different parts of the IEC 60603-7 standard series are intermateable, interoperable and backward compatible, which means that the fixed and the free connector of a certain part of the standard series shall be intermateable with every connector of the series IEC 60603-7 and meet all the requirements of the IEC 60603-7 standard series with lower frequencies. This standard is a consolidated version into which Amendment A1 of IEC 60603-7 has been incorporated. The modifications concern in particular clause 5.1 "Gauges for fixed connectors", the new test group EP and the test phases CP2 and FP1. The responsible committee is Subcommittee UK 651.2 "Steckverbinder für elektronische Anwendungen" ("Connectors for electronic applications") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
