Due to the European Corrigendum (CENELEC-Corrigendum of March 2010 to EN 60601-1-2:2007), DIN EN 60601-1-2 (VDE 0750-1-2):2007-12 shall be corrected as follows: Add the following date of withdrawal in the foreword: 2012-06-01. Delete the following sentences: However, EN 60601-1-2:2001 remains valid until all the parts 2 that are used in conjunction with this standard have been withdrawn. No date of withdrawal of conflicting national standards (dow) has therefore been fixed. However, when part 1-2 is used for appliances not covered by a part 2, EN 60601-1-2:2001 is not to be used after 2009-09-12. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 811.2 "Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit medizinischer elektrischer Geräte und/oder Systeme" ("Electromagnetic compatibility of medical electrical equipment and/or systems") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
