Overview

This International Standard is one of a series of IEC 60455 standards that address requirements for reactive resin compounds and their components for electrical insulation. This series consists of three parts: Part 1: Definitions and general requirements (IEC 60455-1); Part 2: Methods of test (IEC 60455-2); Part 3: Specifications for individual materials (IEC 60455-3). This part of IEC 60455 covers test methods for reactive resin compounds and their components and for cured compounds for use as electrical insulation. The responsible committee is DKE/K 181 "Feste elektrische Isolierstoffe" ("Solid electrical insulating materials") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
