Overview

This standard deals with the safety of electrical appliances for skin or hair care treatment of persons or animals intended for household and similar use, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V. Through Amendment 11, requirements for persons requiring protection are incorporated. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 511.10 "Kleingeräte" ("Small appliances") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
